New Beginnings

When I look back, my life really has been a journey. Now, as I get ready to retire, I find myself experiencing a mix of emotions I didn’t expect.

The truth is, I never thought I’d be doing it solo. While that makes me a little nervous, there’s also something exciting about not knowing exactly what comes next. I feel both anxious and hopeful about the road ahead, but I’m ready to embrace it with an open mind and an open heart.

I’m looking forward to discovering new and interesting places. I want to have coffee on the beach while listening to the waves. Maybe I’ll find myself on a mountain taking in the view or standing beneath Montana’s wide blue sky.

I might spend time at a homeless shelter, listening to the stories of people who are too often overlooked. Maybe I’ll stumble across an abandoned town or even a hidden castle in the woods. Wherever I end up, I trust it will be the right place for me at that moment.

And I hope I won’t always travel alone. I’d love for friends to join me for different parts of the journey. Whether we’re sharing a campfire, exploring somewhere new, or simply enjoying the scenery together, there’s always room for good company.

I don’t know exactly where this road will take me.

But I think that might be the best part.
